I think people unfairly rate the clinic low in reviews due to wait times. However, this is typical of any specialist, especially one as talented and in demand as Dr. Crutchfield. I have visited the clinic several times to get the Celebrity Peel and a couple of other procedures. The treatments have worked extremely well and pretty much everyone is shocked to learn my age. I consistently hear that people think I am at least 15 years younger and that is thanks to Dr. Crutchfield. I personally go there for cosmetics and the facials in the spa. Every time I do cosmetics everything looks natural and not too much, always makes sure that I am comfortable as well. I take my 10 year old daughter that has suffered from psoriasis since she was 3 years old. In this past year she has cleared up with the ongoing treatment plan that Dr. Crutchfield has her on. I suffered with chronic acne all through HS and into early adulthood. When I first visited Dr. Crutchfield, he wrote out a detailed treatment plan after my examination and handed it to me himself because he was not a covered provider under my health insurance. I then took this assessment to a in-network provider and I have not suffered with acne since. Then, after having my daughter, I had scar tissue that had hardened from the C-section and it was painful. I had a series of injections given by Dr. Crutchfield; now my incision is perfectly flat and pain free. I truly appreciate Dr. Crutchfields expertise because I have been in dermatologist offices in multiple states, but Dr. C is still my favorite and considered the most talented, in my opinion. Ever since coming to Dr. Crutchfield’s office my skin has been GLOWING. I get so many compliments on my complexion and it is all due to Dr. Crutchfield, his amazing staff and the products he has for his patients. I’ve seen so many success cases come out of this office so it’s not wonder he’s one of the best of the BEST! If you’ve never had a hydrafacial from the medi spa I HIGHLY recommend getting one done! I have been going to Crutchfield Dermatology for about 2 years now. When I first came to the clinic, I had been struggling with acne for 10+ years. I literally tried every topical cream, lotion, toner, serum, etc. that you could think of. After I addressed my concerns, he recommended Accutane and It changed my life forever! My skin is no longer bumpy from all the blackheads and pimples, my scarring has faded tremendously, and now I feel more confident than I ever did! I had a hydrafacial done in the spa and I absolutely loved it! I noticed the differences right away. I am in my late twenties and have had clear skin for most of my life. But since September, my skin was flaring up with use of the most gentle products, and seemed to get worse no matter what I tried. Then, I started seeing doctors. For months, I was confused, angry and in tears leaving the office of one doctor after the next. My face and scalp were red, itchy, flaky and full of bumps! Then, I was referred to Dr. Crutchfield. Within three weeks, I was symptom-free! I had no idea what I was suffering from because I was told different things from 4 different doctors, but Dr. Crutchfield looked me over (and, to my relief, took a biopsy at my first appointment!), and then explained that in his training at the Mayo Clinic (!!) he was told, "You can't treat a patient if you do not know what they are suffering from!" I immediately felt relieved and knew that I was in good care. After my second visit, and diligently using the creams, scalp oil, and oral prescription I was completely symptom free! It turns out, based on the biopsy and Dr. Crutchfield's visual diagnosis (a correct diagnosis, btw), I had been suffering from perioral dermatitis, seb. dermatitis, and melia. It is apparent that the concerns shared about scheduling and wait times are legitimate and cannot be dismissed as silly and unreasonable. It does not take away from the fact that Dr. Crutchfield is an excellent dermatologist and that once seen by him we do get the best care and excellent results. We have sat in that waiting area, in close proximity for long periods of time and communicated with each other and are aware that multiple people do get scheduled for the same time slot. Posting because I have read some of the negative reviews and think they are silly. I came to Crutchfield Dermatology because I needed a discoloration taken off my nose and biopsied. He came in and was very quick and efficient. He told me what needed to be done and answered my questions. They numbed my nose and removed the patch that needed to be removed. I didn't have more than 10 minutes with the dr, but I didn't need to! He doesn't need a lengthy talk session with his patients, he isn't a therapist. My appointment was quick, but I was 100%% confident that he knew exactly what he was doing. I appreciate that they "overbook" as clearly they have a ton of patients and the scheduling is done several months out as it is. Supply and demand, its common sense economics. He cannot clone himself, so instead he is short and to the point which enables him to HELP as many clients as possible. I am thankful for the results that I received that day. My adolescent daughter will be seen there in a few months for a birth mark that she needs removed. I will gladly plan for a long wait and short visit, because I know he is one of the best! I know that I can trust him with my daughter's care. I seen Dr. Crutchfield for my wart on my arm after it had grown back after getting it froze off at another Dermatology clinic. I was told I had to do serval treatments. When I seen Dr. Crutchfield a few months ago about it he looked at it and stated cutting it off would possibly help it not grow back and he was right! It hasn’t grew back since. I recently started using the Crutchfield Dermatology Natural Face Cream and my face has never felt better. My skin is very sensitive and usually reacts badly to most moisturizers, but does not react badly to this cream. After seeing Dr. Crutchfield his treatment plan for me worked wonders. I no longer get any flakes on my scalp and also no itching. I have also seen him as a cosmetic patient getting fillers and botox and the results are incredible. They also have a new Hydra facial that is the best facial I have ever received. Our family has been going to Dr. Crutchfield for skin matters for years. He is the most personable, effective physician I have ever known or known of. Great facilities, service, and most importantly, medical results. I highly recommend. UPDATED: Dr. Crutchfield is a true professional, and his staff was so kind and comforting. His skill set is matchless, and I would never go anywhere else after my experience with this Clinic. There was a delay, but a staff member came out and offered cookies and bottled water to everyone in the lobby. I came in for a cosmetic consultation, and he was honest about what he could and could not do for me, and even provided the name and contact information for another practitioner to treat an issue that he could not. This impressed me tremendously and confirmed his ethics and integrity as a physician. The work he did perform was phenomenal. He answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable going forward with the recommended treatment plan. He is an absolute perfectionist and really went out of his way to make sure I was happy with my results. It was really important to me that the person performing this type of cosmetic treatment was very experienced, and based on his level of experience, he very easily recommended a protocol to address my "wish list" of improvements. While some may feel that there is not enough face time, it is clear that this doctor has the background, knowledge, and expertise to expeditiously make recommendations that are consistently effective. Other doctors have always tried to up-sell me some service or product, but Dr. Crutchfield recommended a conservative plan that was tailored to my needs. Dr Crutchfield and staff are so amazing. I’ve been taking my infant to see him for the past 4 months to take care of a hemangioma that was growing on my daughters eyelid. I have been receiving cosmetic treatments from Dr. Crutchfield for the past 8 years. I would never think of ever letting anyone else perform treatments on me. His approach is to make sure you look natural and never "overdone". He is very honest about what you need to get the results you are wanting to achieve and will not "over treat", gradual is better. He is a perfectionist and his work shows it! The best part is HE is the one performing the injections and makes sure you are completely happy with the results. He also performs complimentary touch ups if needed, but needless to say, I have never needed one! I am also ecstatic with my results, Highly recommend! I've been using Dr. Crutchfield's (NEW) Natural Face Cream for two weeks and my skin has NEVER been this radiant! This was my second visit to Crutchfield Dermatology in 2 months and I can't thank Dr. Crutchfield and the staff enough. I came to see Dr. Crutchfield for acne troubles. I have tried numerous OTC and prescription regimens, but none ever worked. Dr. Crutchfield was able to quickly come up with a game plan. My family and I have been seeing Dr Crutchfield for about 11 years+. I have struggled with acne on and off. He is the absolute best. My favorite part about him is his optimism and genuine care for your skin. He will come into the room with a plan and gets you started right away. His staff is intelligent and makes you feel very comfortable and are the least bit judgmental. Every time I visit I always feel optimistic about my results and my skin getting better. Our daughter had a skin rash that was distressing her mother and I, so we made an appointment to see Dr. Crutchfield. We arrived on time, filled out the paperwork, and after a typical wait for a medical office, we were taken by the friendliest staff who made our little girl feel like a princess. I have struggled with a debilitating skin condition for more than 30 years, and have seen my share of dermatologists. I have to say that Dr. Crutchfield is the only one that showed me respect, kindness, and the concern to treat my ailment. Dr. Crutchfield listened to my concerns and saw to it that, after 30 years I could finally have some relief. Is there a wait? Most the time they're backed up. But when you're seeing the one of best dermatologist in the nation, expect a wait.. I Does it seem like an assembly line atmosphere? To some it probably does, but in those five minutes Dr. Crutchfield knew the root causes of my issue, and the best course of action. One other thing: he empathized. After so many dollars spent on dermatologists who didn't want to hear my problems and didn't care how my condition was ruining my life, just having someone understand helped me tremendously. Dr. Crutchfields rating should be much higher than 3.9! He is one of the best dermatologists in the nation. I made a appt. about 4 years ago that changed my life! I developed lots of acne at 25. I tried other dermatologist that gave me creams and face washes which didn't treat the problem. My acne was deeper than that. He cleared up my skin and I can now face people without wanting to hide my acne. My skin is 100%% clear and I haven't had a breakout since! Dr. Crutchfield does wonders! This was my first experience with Juvederm, or any kind of cosmetic surgery. Dr. Crutchfield was wonderful. He made me feel at ease and explained everything about the procedure thoroughly before we started. I had one syringe injected. He numbed me beforehand, so the actual procedure didn't hurt a bit. I've been seeing Dr Crutchfield for 5 years for psorasis. He cleared it in 30 days with systemic drugs - while other Dr's just kept giving me creams that did no good - for years! I was really glad I found him. From my experience, if you want real results, Dr Crutchfield has an aggressive approach that works. Dr. Crutchfield was able to efficiently diagnose and treat what was a severe case of eczema for me. Clinic staff was helpful and friendly. Most importantly, Dr. Crutchfield was friendly and welcoming. When I returned 48 hours for follow-up he was quick to follow-up and knew exactly what I had previously been in for.
